Excel Report (pivot charts and macros required)

I need to create report which will consist of 4 pivot charts with different time periods, four buttons created using macros that will help to switch between 4 different time periods.
The report is based on the data retrieval that is updated weekly. So, the way I envision it is data retrievals are linked to the data table in the separate tab or excel file. This table then is used to create pivot charts and buttons with macros.
Because table for pivot charts is linked to the refreshable data retrieval, the next time the data in the retrieval is updated I should just click 'refresh' in the excel file with pivot charts and the data should get updated.
