Excel Mathematics Number Filter Script Project Guidelines
1. This Excel script must also be compatible with Google Sheets because the collaborators may not have access to Excel.
2. As I understand it, if I were to upload an Excel file to Google Sheets, it would auto-convert it into the online Google Sheets format.
3. If needed, I can download the document to my computer and work on it as an Excel file.
4. The issue is would the calculations work as intended on both Excel and Google Sheets equally well?
5. Thus, while evaluating your developed Excel script file, please upload it to Google Sheets to check if everything works correctly.
6. I shall provide six sets of numbers ranging from 01 to 100 as Text files: ‘A’, to ‘G’.
7. The objective is to filter all the numbers into one list using ‘A’, to ‘F’.
8. I should be able to choose using a minimum of two Files (possible 30 combinations using Files: ‘A’, to ‘F’).
9. Or three Files (possible 120 combinations using Files: ‘A’, to ‘F’).
10. Or four Files (possible 360 combinations using Files: ‘A’, to ‘F’).
11. Or five Files (possible 720 combinations using Files: ‘A’, to ‘F’).
12. Or all six Files using ‘A’, to ‘F’.
13. Let us name this new file created by you as File ‘H’.
14. There should not be any duplicates of the numbers provided.
15. However, the number of times it is repeated or duplicated must be shown next to it like 07² or 09³.
16. Each ‘A’, to ‘F’ file group must be the same color: e.g., ‘A’ = Red, ‘B’ = Orange, ‘C’ = Yellow, ‘D’ = Green, ‘E’ = Blue, ‘F’ = Indigo, ‘G’ = Violet.
17. File ‘G’ (I provided above) will contain rows or sets of 6 numbers each: e.g., 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, and 06.
18. I have provided 500 rows or sets of 6 numbers in File ‘G’.
19. I must be able to expand the rows or sets to an upper limit of 10000.
20. Then, you have to match my File ‘G’ with your created File ‘H’.
21. Not all numbers found in my File ‘G’ will match with your created File ‘H’.
22. The final filtered file/list you create will be named File ‘I’ and will contain all rows or sets of 6 numbers matched completely with numbers found in your created File ‘H’.
23. Lastly, when I enter a specified set of 7 numbers between 01 to 100, it must highlight the Percentage Value (%) of which File from ‘A’ to ‘F’ the numbers came from.
24. If e.g., 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, and 07 are entered, if 01, and 02, come from File ‘A’, the percentage value is 2/7 = 14.29% or if 01, 02, 03, and 04 come from File ‘C’, the percentage value is 4/7 = 57.14% or if 01, 02, 03, 04, and 05 come from File ‘B’, the percentage value is 5/7 = 71.43%.
