Excel List Automation

I have a few thousand lines of Excel , each line represents details of an "invoice" and "customer name" On the few thousand lines - the same customer name, or name variation might appear several times - with slight name variations. The goal is to take the Excel list - let's say the client is Target Stores, or Target.com or simply Target. They might uses Vendor x, vendor y and vendor z. I want to know how many invoices are for the single client "Target" and the volume for for vendor x, y and Z. In some cases, the word "Target" may be "hidden" as a text word inside a cell.
