Excel Expert needed

I need a piece of code that can manage some of my tasks in excel spreadsheets. There are some spreadsheets with a large number of data. The data have a date and a value on a daily basis. The code should read the excel file and get the means of each months' values. The output file must contain date and the mean value. A sample file was uploaded here with the sample result format that I want.
