Excel Datasheet Conversion From Vessel To Auto Changeover Manifold Type
Budget: £10 – £100 GBP
Scope of Works: Conversion of Cyclone Datasheet to Methane Automatic
Changeover Manifold Datasheet
1. Project Overview The objective is to repurpose the existing Excel-based Pressure Vessel
Datasheet for Cyclone 1 to create a technical Datasheet for an Automatic Changeover
Manifold intended for Methane (CH₄) service 2. The final document must maintain the
corporate formatting while accurately reflecting the mechanical and process requirements of a
gas manifold system.
2. Reference Materials Provided
● Starting Template: The original Excel datasheet file
● Content Requirements: The "AI Generated Datasheet List" containing specific
parameters for Methane service, changeover logic, and instrumentation 2, 4-8.
● Revision Guidance: The instruction note detailing which vessel-specific fields to
remove and which manifold-specific fields to add.
3. Detailed Work Requirements
A. Document Identification & Header (All Sheets)
● Update the document title on the cover and all headers from "Pressure Vessel Datasheet
for Cyclone" to "Automatic Changeover Manifold Datasheet" 1, 3.
● Update the Gas Service field to "Methane (CH₄), Group IIA" 2, 9.
● Maintain the existing Project Number and Location 1.
B. Design & Operating Data (Sheet 2)
● Removal of Vessel Data: Delete rows pertaining to static head, carbon black content,
internal coatings, and radiography (e.g., rows 15, 17, 18, 25, 27, 28) 3, 10.
● Inclusion of Manifold Data: Integrate new rows for:
● Supply Source (Cylinder Packs, Bundles, etc.) and Number of Cylinder Banks 4.
● Refined Pressure Data: Maximum Cylinder Pressure, Minimum Changeover Pressure,
and Outlet Working Pressure (Range/Setpoint) 4.
● Flow Requirements: Maximum, Normal, and Peak Instantaneous Flow (Nm³/h) 4.
● Cleanliness & Filtration: Standard/Oil-free requirements and Micron ratings 4.
C. Mechanical, Instrumentation & Changeover (Sheet 2 & New Sheets)
● Material Specification: Replace "Shell, Heads, Cone" with specifications for Regulator
Body, Tubing, and Valve Types 5, 11.
● New Mandatory Sections: Add tables for:
● Changeover System: Type (Mechanical/Electronic), Logic, and Alarm Outputs 5.
● Instrumentation: Inlet/Outlet Pressure Gauges and Pressure Transmitters 6.
● Certification: CE/UKCA marking, PED/PESR Categories, and ATEX/UKEX
Classifications (Group IIA) 6, 12.
D. Branch Duty & Notes (Sheet 3)
● Nozzle Update: Replace the Cyclone nozzle list (N1–N3) with: Inlet Connection (Left
Bank), Inlet Connection (Right Bank), Main Outlet Connection, and Vent/Relief
Connection 5, 13.
● Notes Revision: Remove all notes regarding thermal cycling for carbon black and
particle size distributions 14-16. Add notes regarding vent routing to safe areas and
gas purity 4, 7.
E. Visual Representation (Sheet 4)
● Remove the Cyclone schematic 17.
● Replace it with a General Arrangement (GA) sketch or P&ID of an automatic
changeover manifold 7, 13.
4. Strict Formatting Constraints
● Fixed Column Structure: The number of columns in the Excel template must not
change. All new data must be mapped into the existing column widths to maintain
document integrity 3, 13, 17.
● A4 Page Compliance: All content and additional rows must be formatted to fit within a
standard A4 page when printed.
● Pagination: If the required information (specifically the expanded instrumentation and
certification tables) exceeds the vertical space of a single sheet, additional sheets
must be prepared (e.g., Sheet 5 of X, Sheet 6 of X) to ensure legibility and professional
presentation.
