Key Responsibilities:
Clean, format, and standardize data in Excel, with a focus on organizing and structuring specific values from a large dataset.
Develop Excel formulas or scripts to accurately extract and standardize data based on patterns (e.g., standardizing similar terms like "Center holes," "central hole," etc.).
Break out and categorize text descriptions into structured fields for eventual database loading.
Ensure all extracted and standardized data is consistent, accurate, and error-free.
Project Scope:
Dataset Size: 30,000 + lines of data.
Features Column: 4,000+ unique items (after removing duplicates).
Details: 8,000 items.
Goal: Standardize features by transforming text descriptions into structured fields. For example, phrases like "Center holes," "central hole," "central holes," "center hole (dot)" should be standardized to "center hole."
Objective: Achieve maximum separation and clarity by creating specific, standardized names that can be easily loaded into a database.
