Requirement Document
1. To do the automation – preferably using only power automate and/or power query. Don’t have premium version of power automate. VBA also discouraged but can be used if absolutely necessary. Not python.
2. The objective of the project is more for me to learn rather than the project itself. At least to the point where I can modify the code parametes to suit my purpose. Important to have a virtual session where you teach me and I replicate the process on shared screen. This needs to happen on either 24th or 25th of Aug.
Need of process: To send out part of master table to different people. These people add data in a blank column. This input is added to master table.
Detail Process Steps:
1. I have a master table. It has vendor name to sales person name tagging. There is data validation in second last column.
2. I need to create separate cut for each sales person. Data validation in second last column continues.
3. Separate folders are created in onedrive for each sales person.
4. The individual files are placed in the respective folder
5. In the shared files, all cells except last 2 columns are password protected.
6. The folder access is shared with sales person
7. The Sales people do some data entry in some specified columns.
8. The Sales people’s inputs are then vlook up in the master table.
9. In some cases, the vendor to sales people tagging changes. Hence, all above steps have to be repeated again. However, the inputs already provided are kept.
While bidding for the project, request to be clear on
1. Which of the above steps can be automated in a relatively simple/direct way
2. Duration of online session required to explain me the process and how I can modify parameters to suit my requirement
3. Date of above session (Preferably 24 or 25 Aug)
