Excel Analysis Formula for Large Values

I'm looking for a skilled Excel expert who can help me with a specific analysis formula.
Requirements:
- I need a formula that can calculate the gap between the largest and the second largest values in a column. This calculation should be based on the absolute difference between these two values.
- The result of this calculation should be placed next to the horse with the highest points in the spreadsheet. The result needs to be displayed using conditional formatting (highlighted).
- The formula should be designed to automatically update whenever new data is entered into the spreadsheet.
