The final deliverable will be an updated CSV file with the new column populated accurately.

ABN/ACN: Australian Business Number or Company Number (e.g., 87644546770).
Total R&D expenditure (notional deductions less feedstock adjustments) $: Expenditure amount. - IGNORE
Total amended R&D expenditure (notional deductions less feedstock adjustments) $: Amended expenditure (may be blank). - IGNORE
Income Year: Financial year (e.g., 2021-22).
Size: Approximately 11,500 ROWS
Format: CSV file (rd_companies.csv).
Scope of Work
Data Preparation:
- Receive the provided rd_companies.csv file.
Add a new "Website" column to the dataset.
Add a new "Email Address" column to the dataset
Website Research:
For each company, use the Name and ABN/ACN to search for the official website.
Preferred sources:
- Google Search with queries like "[Company Name] official website Australia".
- Australian Business Register (https://abr.business.gov.au/) to verify ABN/ACN and find linked websites.
- ASIC Connect (https://connectonline.asic.gov.au/) for company details.
- Company websites with .com.au domains or other credible domains (.com, .org).
- Exclude non-official sources (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, ABN Lookup pages).
If no website is found, mark the entry as "Not Found".
Data Validation:
- Ensure URLs are valid and lead to the company’s official website.
- Cross-check ABN/ACN or company name on the website (if possible) to confirm accuracy.
- Handle special cases (e.g., defunct companies, merged entities, or name variations).
Output:
- Deliver an updated CSV file (rd_companies_with_websites.csv) with all original columns plus the new "Website" column.
- Provide a brief report (PDF or Word) summarizing the methodology, challenges, and accuracy rate.
