Data collection from financial reports

The project consists of manual data collection from quarterly financial reports for 320 public companies. We provide the list of companies (with name and unique identifiers) and expect the collection of publicly available information regarding their lease contracts following a financial regulation change that has become effective in the first fiscal quarter of 2019. The project implies (1) downloading the quarterly report for quarter 1 of fiscal year 2019 from the investors' section of the website of the company; (2) searching by key words the reference to the new regulation in the annual report; (3) identifying the change generated by the new regulation (numeric impact and the text where the information is located); (4) inputting these details in an excel spreadsheet. A detailed explanation of the steps to be followed, as well as an example of the excel to fill in, are attached below.
