Data collection
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are looking for someone to conduct data collection for us, in relation to a research project. The task is very simple, though somewhat time consuming. Based on an Excel worksheet, you shall complete the following tasks:
1. Look up a company name through an official database,
2. Enter a date from this database,
3. Enter a short text from this database,
4. Download the official annual report from the website in PDF-format,
5. Rename the downloaded file to a format of our choosing (name details included in Excel file); estimated total storage required is 550 MB (high uncertainty),
6. Save the annual report in a directory for transfer to our servers.
This must be conducted for 1581 firms.
We will provide necessary training for you. Estimated time for collecting the data from one firm is 1-2 minutes.
When bidding, please keep in mind that this project is funded with tax-payer money and has a low budget. The lowest bidder will win the contract.
Please note that we will conduct samples to verify the accuracy of the delivered work. Should we determine that the accuracy is insufficient (based on the fact that the PDF does not belong to the specified firm, that the dates entered do not correspond with the data from the database, or that the entered text does not correspond with the data from the database), we retain the right to cancel the project. This is because data accuracy is crucial for this project.
