Data Analyst – Transportation RFQ Analysis

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to support a transportation-focused RFQ (Request for Quotation) project in the express transport sector. This role requires managing and analyzing large volumes of shipment and financial data with a strong emphasis on accuracy, structure, and actionable insights.
? Project Overview
Duration: 6 months (tender period)
Payment Terms: Paid on delivery / milestone-based
Location: Primarily remote, with the possibility of occasional face-to-face meetings in Paris
? Key Responsibilities
Clean and consolidate large datasets of transportation shipment volumes and financial records
Structure and format data in Excel for analysis and reporting
Simulate baseline volumes and prepare clean data files for tender distribution
Analyze and compare RFQ offers, simulate scenarios, and support evaluation and decision-making
Create an online dashboard to:
Display round-by-round RFQ results
Compare supplier performance and pricing
Model different tender scenarios for strategic evaluation
Manage complex datasets: 2,000+ Excel sheets across 600+ accounts in the EMEA region
? Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in data collection, cleaning, and structuring
Mandatory background in the transportation industry, especially in express transportation invoicing, post audits, or tender processes
Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, data modeling, etc.)
Experience with dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for dynamic data visualization
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, especially when working with large and complex datasets
