Customize Purchase Order Number Creation
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I'm looking for an expert who can create a dynamic system for generating purchase order numbers. Given that I am unsure whether the numbers will be generated sequentially or not, your work will need to account for potential variations.
Key Features:
- The order numbers must incorporate the date of the order and the product type.
- Despite the complexity of the information included, the format should remain simple with no special or alphanumeric characters.
Ideal candidate:
Someone experienced in working with order systems, maybe with some basic coding knowledge. Attention to detail is crucial. Your creative problem-solving skills will come in handy to tailor this non-sequential, yet detailed purchase order number system.
Excel document used for creating PO's is too large and needs some guardrails against deletion of data.
Eventually I would like this to expand into greater functionality but currently I just need to mimic what I have essentially. I would like to create a simple database within access that would control some functionality for inexperienced users. Instead of the data being completely open only sorted by excel, I would prefer it to be form controlled to access necessary data. View PO, Create PO, Change PO, Receive PO, etc. button controls.
