Convert bank record PDFs to CSV files
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I have received records for two bank accounts. They have been scanned and saved as PDFs. I need somebody to convert these PDFs into CSV files so I can analyse the data myself . The CSV files that you create will have the following columns: DATE, TRANSACTION DESCRIPTION, DEBIT, CREDIT, BALANCE. The CSV files that you create should have the same name as the PDF file that you converted (except the file extension is 'csv').
It is simply a case of extracting this data out of the PDFs and into the CSV columns. Please note the the PDFs contain images, not text. So you can't copy and paste the text into a spreadsheet. You will either need to use OCR software to extract the text, or manually type the data into a spreadsheet. The choice is yours. What is of the utmost importance is the accuracy of these records. You must ensure that there are no errors.
There are two PDF files. One with 18 pages and the other with 38 pages. Please note that not every page has any bank records to convert.
I will provide the PDF files to the person who is awarded the project.
