Comprehensive Excel Data Analysis
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Dear [Excel Developer ],
Following our previous communication, I have an important update regarding the data analysis I need.
I have two datasets in separate Excel tables, one for omnivores and one for vegetarians, each containing the following columns:
Age
Glycemic Index
Triglyceride Concentration
Systolic Pressure
My teacher has asked for a comprehensive analysis of each dataset, including visualizations and statistical measures, and importantly, a comparison between the two groups and against referent values that she has provided separately.
Here's a detailed breakdown of the requirements for each of the two datasets (omnivores and vegetarians):
1. Descriptive Statistics:
Please calculate the following descriptive statistics for each of the four variables:
Mean
Median
Mode
Standard Deviation
Variance
Minimum Value
Maximum Value
Range (Maximum - Minimum)
Skewness
Kurtosis
2. Visualizations:
Please create the following graphs for each of the four variables in each dataset:
Histogram: To visualize the distribution of the data.
Pareto Chart: (As discussed before, this might require binning continuous data or if there's another categorical aspect).
Bar Graph: To compare frequencies or averages across categories.
Cumulative Frequency Graph (Ogive): To show cumulative frequencies.
Box Plot (Box and Whisker Plot): To display distribution, outliers, median, and quartiles.
3. Further Statistical Analysis:
For each of the four variables in each dataset, please calculate:
Z-values (Standard Scores):
z=
σ
x−μ
Cumulative Frequencies
Descriptive Frequency Curve
Confidence Intervals (95%):
x
ˉ
±1.96
n
s
Percentiles (25th, 50th, 75th)
4. Comparative Analysis:
Once the above analyses are completed for each group separately, I need a comparison of the key descriptive statistics (mean, median, standard deviation) and the distributions (as seen in the box plots and histograms) between the omnivore and vegetarian groups for each of the four variables.
5. Comparison to Referent Values:
My teacher has also provided a set of referent values (e.g., ideal ranges or specific values) for Glycemic Index, Triglyceride Concentration, and Systolic Pressure. For each group, please compare the calculated descriptive statistics (especially mean and median) and the distribution of the data for these three variables against these referent values. The referent values will be provided to you separately along with the data files.
Output Organization:
Ideally, the results should be clearly organized, perhaps with separate sheets for:
Descriptive statistics for omnivores.
Descriptive statistics for vegetarians.
Each type of graph for both groups (possibly side-by-side for comparison).
A summary sheet comparing key statistics between the two groups for each variable.
A section comparing the findings for Glycemic Index, Triglyceride Concentration, and Systolic Pressure in both groups against the provided referent values.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding these updated requirements. I will provide you with the Excel data files and the referent values from my teacher as soon as possible. Kindly update your estimated cost and turnaround time based on these additional analyses.
Thank you again for your help.
Sincerely,
Tamara
descriptive statistics, histogram, pareto graph, bar graph, cumulative graph, box plot. so 5 graphs i guess. also z-values, cumulative and descriptive frequency curve, confidence intervals, significance level, percentiles. it needs to be compared between the two and compared to referent values given by the teacher
