Combine Syllabi into an Excel Document that turns out the "To-Do's" for selected day

I need help with a small project that turns syllabi into an easy to-do for the selected day. Ideally, I would open the excel document and it would have a summary tab that would have the to-do's for the selected day (the next day, for example, so I could complete the readings before class, but selected day so I can look some-x number of days ahead).
Some syllabi are easy, already turned into tables and some are not yet in tables that may prove a bit more difficult. On one class, the days (or weeks) are not tabluted, so the summary tab would ideally include a macro or VLOOKUP formula to where I can type in whatever the readings are for that day--i.e., I could type in "II.2.A - II.2.C" and it would pull those readings.
I have all the pdfs and have also the files, incredibly roughly, into excel to maybe help in your effort.
