China Apparel Quality Control Expert

I need an experienced quality-control professional who can travel to our partner factories in Guangdong, China, and give me unbiased, on-site feedback on the current production run for our women’s line. We work with 10 factories. The immediate focus is on dresses, tops and skirts, and every piece must pass three critical checks: fabric quality, stitching accuracy and precise garment measurements.
You will work with the factory floor team, pull samples following a standard AQL approach, and verify each size against our brand-specific measurement charts—no generic sizing. Clear photos, annotated measurement sheets and concise observations must be shared the same day so we can decide on approvals or corrective action before packing.
Deliverables (per visit)
• A sampling plan and item count used
• High-resolution photos of inspected garments, close-ups of any defects
• Completed measurement sheet matched to our brand charts
• Notes on fabric handfeel, colour consistency and stitching quality
• A brief summary of pass/fail rates with recommended next steps
Fluency in English for reporting and confidence speaking with factory management are required. Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets, a calibrated measuring tape and a keen eye for detail will set you up for success.
