Build me a dashboard with folder and sub-folder structure

Hello,
I have a lot of financial data available in an Excel workbook. And each month I generate fresh data. I want to build a dashboard to present this data. Few things:
1. We can either keep the data in the Excel workbook or transfer it to a database. Whichever is easier to maintain.
2. Build a dashboard in PowerBI or any other free dashboard tool. I am open to your recommendations.
3. The dashboard should be dynamic. I want different functionalities like a panel on the left hand side for a folder and sub-folder structure, ability to zoom in, zoom out, select or deselect series, etc.
Please don't bid randomly. Will explain the process in more detail once the project is awarded.
