Bill of Materials - Excel based
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am looking to create an Excel-based Bill of Materials.
I would want an input form where I can define detailed descriptions of the components of a part (e.g. name, material, dimensions, units, quantity), a list of purchased parts for that part (e.g. screws, washers, raw materials) that can be pulled from a drop-down list, and packing list.
The input form would then store those components and purchased parts in a database for the parts.
There should be a list of purchased parts that is either built from the input forms or is imported from elsewhere.
The operator would be prompted for which the Part Number and Quantity for the parts that are being built - and the Bill of Material report output would list the component parts, purchased parts and the packing list necessary for that quantity of the specified part.
While we envision this being in the form of an Excel file (see attached example) that does not have to be how the project is implements. The goal is to have the ability to input the components of an assembly or single parts into a database and then have the ability to query the system to create a Bill of Materials to serve as a production and packaging guide.
