Automating Logistics Process
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Objective:
Our company aims to automate its logistics process to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload. We are looking for a freelancer with expertise in automation to develop a system that streamlines the process from transport request to courier confirmation.

Request Submission:
Teams within the company fill out an Excel file with transport details, including pickup location, destination, size, and weight of the shipment.
Courier Selection:
The logistician identifies 3 or 4 potential couriers from a database based on the transport's distance, size, and location.
The logistician contacts these couriers via Outlook to inquire about availability and pricing.
Selection and Confirmation:
Upon receiving responses, the logistician selects the best courier based on price and availability.
The logistician fills out an order form in Excel, converts it to PDF, and sends it to the chosen courier to confirm the shipment.

Develop a way to automatically select suitable couriers from the database based on predefined criteria (distance, size, location).
Automate Communication:
Automate the process of contacting couriers via Outlook, including sending inquiry emails and processing their responses.
Automate Order Processing:
Automatically generate an order form based on the selected courier's details, convert it to PDF, and send it to the courier for confirmation.
Technical Requirements:
Platform: Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Methodology: VBA for seamless integration with Microsoft Office suite. Other suggestions are welcome if they provide a better solution.
Deliverables:
Automated Excel Workbook:
An Excel file with VBA scripts to automate data entry, courier selection, and order form generation (if chosen methodology).
VBA scripts to automate sending and receiving emails via Outlook (if chosen methodology).
Documentation:
Detailed documentation on how the automation works, including instructions for use and troubleshooting.
Testing and Support:
Initial testing of the automated system and support for any issues that arise during the first month of operation.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in VBA for Excel and Outlook.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
