Automate excel to Provide a production planning tool

I have machines which use tooling, these items of tooling can be used across presses and can be we have limited quantities of tooling. I would like an automated excel document which highlights which tools will clash based on Stop times. There is a press schedule and a file showing number of cylinders available. The cylinders need be be marked in use during the run times and then become available again after stop times. The report needs to be quick and easy to run.
