Access Database to Excel Date Conversion.

Job ID: 38175972

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need an expert to assist me in converting option expiration dates from a Microsoft Access database to an organized Excel sheet.

Here's a breakdown of what I need:
- I have a Microsoft Access database that contains historical option prices.
- The goal is to extract all the option expiration dates available on a particular trade date and convert them into date format in Excel.
- The data needs to be organized by trade date with each expiration dates placed in separate columns.

Your tasks will include writing the VBA code to:
- Extracting the option expiration dates from the database.
- Converting them to the date format in Excel.
- Organizing the data in such a way that it's by trade date, with expiration dates in separate columns.

The Excel file should not include additional details for each option expiration date.

Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Experience with data extraction and conversion.
- Attention to detail to ensure the accurate transfer of the data.

This project requires someone who is meticulous and has a good understanding of VBA, Access databases and Excel.

As you can see in the attached image, the trade date (sometimes called "Quote Date" as it is here) 2018-01-02 (January 2, 2018) has options listed with 11 different expiration dates (starting with 2018-02-05 and ending with 2020-01-17).

I need a simple VBA program that will take each trade date in an Access DB (each DB has all the trade dates for a calendar year) and output to Excel the trade date in column A and each of the listed expiration dates for that date in separate columns.

In the example see several rows with the 2018-01-02 trade date. That is because each unique option (unique as to strike price, expiration date, and option type which is put or call) gets its own row. But any particular trade date with have a defined set of expiration dates so you only need to examine a specific date once and can then move on to the next trade date.
