Provide a simple but functional Client Portal CMS and minor updates to an existing Python script
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I have an Excel workbook with approximately 40 individual worksheets, each for a separate user, and containing an individual user dashboard. These dashboards pull data from a main worksheet. This portion of the project is complete and functional.
I'm looking for a freelancer to convert these dashboards into a web portal for my clients to view. A portion of this work has been completed, but we need to complete the remainder in a short time frame, so need external assistance.
How it will work:
1. We will arrange a VPS and provide logins to enable FTP and cPanel access.
2. An existing excel workbook will be located on a web server (we will provide the excel sheet).
3. An existing Python script will run every hour. It uses xlwings to create an image from the excel dash for each specified worksheet (dash). It then creates separate html pages for each user dash. We will provide the working script, which will only need minor adjustments. These adjustments will relate to the ranges for the image captures in the worksheets, ranges for text content from the worksheets, formatting of the html pages, and hyperlinks between the pages.
4. A simple but fully functional client portal script will need to be provided and installed to the webserver. It will need to include email login and normal user management functions, such as user invite email, password reset, user privilege levels etc (i.e. standard user, manager, admin) to determine page viewing access such as certain defined page/s, or all pages. Currently only a "dashboard" folder will used, however we may wish to add additional folders later for "invoices" or "manuals" so it should be easily expandable via the back-end admin panel. Free open source products are available, or you can use your own existing script however exclusive ownership will be required upon handover (no licensing arrangements, no backdoor access etc). 4. We will assist with creating a creating a sub-domain via our DNS to link to the new Client Portal CMS and html pages on the webserver.
For an experienced web developer, the above project should be relatively simple and quick, especially if you already have a working Client portal. We will require a quick turnaround, clear communication and competitive pricing in line with the actual effort required. We can do it ourselves however it will be quicker if someone else already has a working script to suit.
