I’m providing an Excel dump of patient records and need a focused examination of the medical-history fields only. Your mission is to reveal how medication usage has changed over time and to visualise any noticeable trends or shifts in prescribing patterns.
Start by cleaning and restructuring the raw sheet so each visit date, diagnosis code, and prescribed medication is laid out in a tidy, analysis-ready table. From there, build dynamic pivot tables and charts that let me slice results by year, quarter, and medication class. I also want a quick-glance dashboard that highlights:
• Year-over-year medication counts and percentage growth/decline
• Top and emerging drugs in the dataset
• Any anomalies or sudden spikes that might warrant clinical review
Deliverables are straightforward: a single Excel workbook containing the cleaned data, your pivot tables, interactive charts (timelines or slicers welcome), plus a short summary tab that explains key findings in plain language. If you use Power Query or Power Pivot, please keep the connections intact so I can refresh with future data drops.
All work must stay HIPAA-compliant—no patient identifiers should leave the file, and you must delete any copies once the project closes. If you know your way around advanced Excel functions, data visualisation, and can articulate insights clearly, this will be a smooth collaboration.
