Microsoft Office Table and Chart Generation Program
Budget: $100 – $325 USD
We are looking for an experienced application developer in VBA/Excel/Office to adjust our current automated table and chart generation program or develop a new one with enhanced features. We do not have the “key” to the programming data in the current application. All of our Output in in Microsoft Word; all of our original input is in Excel.
We want to take a column of data and present results for an entire column of data and also break it out by several identifier columns and generate tables and charts (with a selection of 6 to 8 charts possible). We want the application to 1) Generate tables with mean, median, minimum, maximum from columns of numbers 2) Generate separate tables with measure of dispersion and standard deviation. 3) Generate table for yes/no questions indicating the percentage adding yes or no 4) Generate tables for multiple choice questions indicating the percentage choosing each answer choice 5) Generate a numbered list of verbal open ended answers to survey questions.
Sample data is included in the attachment. However, as a general example, assume that in one column are data from 500 college students, and in a second column, information on their gender, their grades, their academic major or specialization, and their income levels. These characteristics are denoted by numbers, so, for example, male would be 1 and female 2 so that data on a question would be broken out separately for males and females. Another characteristic, say family income level, might be represented by 1 through 10, with each number broken out by a specific annual family income level, say less than $25,000 per year, $25,000 to $35,000, then $35,000 to $45,000 and so on. We want to be able to break out the data by many variables, as many as 25, and automatically generate and label a table output to Microsoft Word. The application should automatically generate elements of or complete table headings from information in the headings of the Excel spreadsheet.
