Excel VBA Automation for Sales Report
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Project Description:
I’m looking for someone who is comfortable with Excel VBA to help me automate a small reporting task inside an Excel file.
The file contains a sheet with raw sales data including date, salesperson, region, product, units sold, and unit price. What I need is a macro that can quickly read this data and generate a simple sales summary in another sheet. The summary should calculate the total number of units sold and the total revenue for each region. Revenue should be calculated automatically using the units multiplied by the unit price.
Ideally, the macro should be triggered by a button (for example, “Generate Report”). When clicked, it should analyze the raw data, clear any previous results in the report sheet, and then populate the summary table again. It would also be helpful if the results were sorted by the highest revenue so the best performing region appears at the top, and the top region can be highlighted for visibility.
I’ve attached a sample Excel file that shows the raw data structure and the report sheet where the summary should appear. The task itself is fairly small and straightforward, so I’m mainly looking for someone experienced with Excel macros who can implement this quickly and cleanly.
If you have experience with Excel VBA automation, this should be a quick job.
