Excel Equipment Dashboard Builder

Job ID: 39724267

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I’m building a single Excel workbook that can hold test data for roughly 120 individual pieces of equipment, each with around 15 measured parameters. On the very first sheet I want a clean, selectable dashboard: as soon as I pick an equipment ID from a drop-down, the page should instantly refresh to show:

• Pie-chart trends for every recorded parameter, automatically resizing as new data is added.
• The acceptable range for each parameter displayed beside or overlaid on the chart for quick visual comparison.
• A live summary section that flags overall status and highlights any parameters outside limits.
• Basic equipment facts—serial number and manufacturer details—pulled in next to the charts for context.
• Built-in averaging calculations that recalculate whenever new results are typed into the data log.

Behind the scenes I’ll need a well-structured data entry sheet (or Power Query connection) where technicians can paste new test reports without breaking formulas. Named ranges, dynamic tables or VBA are fine as long as the file stays responsive. Please keep the solution entirely inside Excel—no external add-ins—so it works on any standard Office installation.

Deliverables
1. The finished .xlsx (or .xlsm if VBA is necessary) with all interactive features working.
2. Clear, brief instructions inside a “Read Me” tab on adding new equipment or parameters.
3. Commented formulas/macros so I can tweak ranges or summary logic later.

If you have questions about layout, colour scheme, or how the averages should roll up into the summary, just let me know. I’m looking forward to a smooth, intuitive dashboard that makes our routine test review far quicker.
