Dynamic Excel Gantt Schedule
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a single-sheet Excel file that lets me manage a 30-day project in a clear Gantt-style view. The sheet has to accommodate up to 10 companies and 50 individual tasks, each with columns for Start Date, End Date and an automatically calculated Duration (in days). As soon as I enter the dates, a horizontal bar should appear and resize itself to show the correct span on the timeline.
For quick visual scanning I want each task bar to be color-coded; no milestone or dependency visuals are necessary right now, but the layout should be clean enough that those could be added later if needed. Standard Excel—no macros that require special security settings—is ideal, yet feel free to use formulas, conditional formatting, or simple VBA for the dynamic bars as long as everything works seamlessly on the latest desktop version of Excel.
Deliverables:
• An unlocked .xlsx file with the structure described above, ready for me to populate.
• Brief, embedded notes or a short PDF that explains how to add more tasks, update dates and adjust colors without breaking the formulas.
Once delivered I’ll drop in real data and confirm the bars render correctly across the 30-day window; if anything isn’t lining up I’ll send it back for a quick tweak.
