Construction Material Cost Calculator
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
My construction projects rely on a single master data sheet where every material is already listed and organized by material type. What I now need is a clean, user-friendly Excel calculator that pulls from that sheet and instantly returns the total material cost for any job I’m scoping.
Here’s how I picture it working:
• A simple input area where I can enter the required quantities (or pick from a dropdown that’s connected to the master list)
• Behind the scenes, formulas/VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs or Power Query—whatever you prefer—that reference the existing price field in my master sheet
• An automatic total cost output, updating as soon as quantities change
The master data sheet layout and column names must remain intact, so the calculator should point to them rather than duplicate anything. If you can keep the workbook tidy with clear naming conventions and maybe a brief instruction tab, that would be perfect.
Once delivered, I want to open the file, punch in quantities, and see the total expense right away—no extra setup on my end.
