Barcode-Driven Excel Search Setup

I’m working in Excel 365 and keep a large inventory table on a single worksheet. Each product already has a 12-character alphanumeric serial number stored in one of the columns. What I need is a seamless way to pick up a handheld barcode scanner, scan an existing product barcode label, and have Excel immediately jump to (or visibly highlight) the matching row—no new data entry, just instant navigation without the usual Ctrl + F routine.

I need a recommendation on both a scanner to purchase , and support setting up the Excel logic. Whether the solution relies on VBA, event-driven formulas, a user form, or another lightweight method, it must:

• Accept the scanned input as soon as it’s read
• Locate the exact match within the worksheet (case-insensitive is fine)
• Bring that row or cell into view and make it obvious to the user
