Auto-Updating Excel Histogram Builder
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m on Excel 2016 (Office 365) and have a growing worksheet where everything of interest sits in column A. The values there are categorical, so I simply need a frequency-style histogram that shows how often each distinct entry appears.
What I want from you:
• A tidy frequency table—either a PivotTable or dynamic COUNTIFS setup—that recalculates the moment I paste new rows.
• A native Excel chart linked to that table. The chart should look and read like a histogram: clear axis labels, descriptive title, sensible spacing between categories and an overall polished format.
• A concise, in-sheet note explaining the formulas, named ranges or Pivot options you used so I can change the bin logic later; if the data ever switches to dates, I’d like to group those by day.
