Adobe Illustrator and Excel Visual Basic script.

I’m looking for a Visual Basic script that will run as a “Menu Item Script” in an Illustrator Action. When called by the Action, the script will go to a specified Excel Workbook and Worksheet, then get the value from a given cell reference. That cell value will then be used to reposition an Illustrator object in the same way as manually entering the value in Illustrator’s “Transform” panel. The Excel cell value would be used to set the y-axis value for the currently selected Illustrator object. The x-axis value is fixed, so may be included in the script, or handled by a separate menu item in the Illustrator Action. While the Excel part of the script will apply to a specific Workbook and Worksheet, the Illustrator part should work with any currently open Illustrator PDF document which has a selected object needing to be re-positioned.
