VERY QUICK - Excel macro to sort data
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm copying and pasting data into a spreadsheet that I need to change the layout of. The Data is in the form of question and answers. It starts with everything in one column in an identifiable pattern. What I need is for each Question and matching answer to be on a row. I am manually editing, but it is taking too long.
The spreadsheet attached shows clearly what I need. It starts as "Copied and pasted" and what I need is "Transformed". The key here for a speedy turnaround, otherwise I might as well carry on doing it manually!
By way of explanation:
The format is: Question#, Q, {question], A, {answer}
7
Q
Is osmosis passive or active?
A
Passive
8
Q
Define active transport
A
The movement of molecules from an area of low concentration of that molecule to an area of high concentration of that molecule. This movement requires ATP
I need these transferred into a separate, but corresponding column for each,
Sometimes there is more than one row for the answer. In this case, the multiple answer fields need to be merged with a linebreak between.
EG:
9
Q
What sort of molecules tend to move via diffusion across a membrane?
A
small molecules (e.g. gases)
lipid soluble molecules
non-polar molecules
