Monthly Date Frequency Analysis

I have a single column of raw date values (all in the exact format YYYY-MM-DD) and I need a clean, reusable Excel workbook that shows how many records fall into each calendar month. It should automatically update the counts when I paste a new block of dates, so I can drop the data in and instantly see the frequency distribution.

I’m supplying only date/time data, so the task is purely about grouping those dates on a monthly interval and producing clear counts plus an at-a-glance chart. A simple PivotTable/PivotChart solution is fine, but if you prefer dynamic array formulas, Power Query, or any other native Excel approach, I’m open—as long as it works in the standard desktop version of Excel (no add-ins required).

Deliverables:
• An Excel workbook that calculates monthly frequencies from dates in YYYY-MM-DD format
• A visual (column chart or similar) tied to the same data range
• Brief, in-sheet instructions so I can swap in fresh data and refresh everything with a click
