Extend range limitation of Excel Timesheet Macros
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I maintain an excel workbook that runs VBA macros to consolidate timesheets. Since the number of scopes and resources we are working with has now grown, the existing macros no longer transpose all of the data.
The data flow is essentially this and it should be noted there are no external imports. We are happy to physically paste the weekly timesheet into the imported timesheet, sheet every week.
1) Necessary data from the Imported timesheet goes to a timesheet sheet via a macro button (basically sheet 1 to sheet 2)
2) Week checkout organises the data onto a new sheet via a macro button (sheet 2 to 3)
3) Week checkout data is consolidated into an existing list of all mandays spent to date, via a macro button (sheet 3 to 4)
4) All of the consolidated data is read into an existing pivot table
5) A cost summary reads the pivot table and adds rates etc
The issue we have is the first macro step seems to be stuck to a limit of 45-50 rows to import (this is clear in module 9) This needs to be extended to up to 200, however all the subsequent macros also need to account for this potential increase in data.
I will set up a zoom call to talk the winning applicant through the functionality of the sheet. If you are not confident in VBA or do not understand macros, please do not apply for this job. While it might only take 1-2 hour of work to complete, i'm not sure this can be Chat GPT'd.
I have attached all 12 modules of the scripts - most are very simple and can probably be adjusted by a competent user relatively quickly. I will of course send over the excel file on project award.
Deliverables (all within 7 calendar days of project start):
• Updated the macros and necessary ranges to include upto 200 rows from the imported timesheet
• The cost summary client sheet must be reading correctly and adding all of the new weekly additions to the existing consolidated timesheet.
• Brief change log noting every modification to relevant modules / excel ranges
It should be noted that all works are considered confidential and our data and documents must not be shared with any large language models or used for other projects.
