CSV to Excel Data Update

I have a CSV export containing our latest RAM material information and I need those figures merged into an existing Microsoft Excel workbook. The spreadsheet already holds historical rows; the task is to locate the matching material codes (or names) and refresh three fields only—Material Name, Quantity and Price—leaving everything else intact.

A light layer of validation is required so obvious entry errors are caught on import: for instance, blank names should flag, Quantity must stay numeric and non-negative, and Price should be a valid currency value. Beyond that, no elaborate rule-sets are necessary; a simple VBA macro or Power Query routine that runs at the click of a button is perfect.

Deliverables:
• An updated Excel file with the new data fully integrated
• The script or steps you used, clearly commented so I can rerun it next time
• A quick note summarising any rows that failed validation, if any
