Intimate 40th Anniversary Planner
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary on July 26 with no more than fifteen close family members. I’d love a professional who can secure a venue that offers both indoor comfort and an outdoor space with trees or flowering bushes or potted flowering plants, maybe a small pond with a fountain? so we can move freely yet stay protected from rain, high heat, humidity and also bees that could distress our nieces's autistic son (will be 7 years old that day).
We are a family that is happy with a casual and relaxed environment. Think pretty garden space, easy seating, light décor but NOT Overly Ruby red. Because the guest list is small, I’m hoping you can work with a venue to give us a meaningful discount or break on their rental prices.
In addition to the venue search and negotiation, I’d appreciate a few activity ideas and subtle decor appropriate for the 40th anniversary. Mellow acoustic music from 1986, but not sure about games right now. Our family doesn't need much to have a good time, but I'm not even sure if it should just be a meal and that's it or include any activities. My older daughter suggested pictures from our wedding and of the 4 places we've visited. Not sure how that would work.
we can provide tables and chairs and table decor. We want to do appetizers, desserts and a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In mid-afternoon with 4 food tables from 4 specific places we have traveled to that have meaning for us.
Maybe a personal chef to prepare and set out the food? I have specific dish ideas from each of these places so I would need someone who would be willing to take on foods from Toronto, Canada; Oahu Hawaii; Nassau County on Long Island; and South Florida along the Atlantic Coast.
Deliverables:
- We have a few locations in mind that would fit what we want along with the weather realities, but i am interested if a lower venue rental price can be negotiated.
• Written proof of venue rental agreement AND if you can get a reduced fee.
- Names and contact info of private chefs if they don't charge too much for such a small event.
Since this event would be on July 25, I do realize we could be competing with wedding venue seekers for micro-weddings. So maybe we could get this nailed down sooner rather than later?
