Humorous Engagement Party Emcee

I’m looking for a quick-witted emcee who can keep a microphone in hand and the smiles rolling from the moment our engagement ceremony begins right through to the last toast at the reception—expect a full 5-plus-hour run. The vibe we want is playful and light, with plenty of room for ad-lib jokes, cheeky shout-outs to our families, and smooth segues between each part of the evening.

You’ll handle both the ceremony and reception, guiding guests through key moments, announcing speakers, cueing music or activities, and filling any awkward pauses with upbeat humour. We can meet beforehand (in person or on a video call) to walk through the timeline and discuss any must-mention stories or off-limits topics, then you can shape a loose script that still leaves space for improvisation.

Deliverables I need from you:
• Live on-mic hosting for the entire event (ceremony and reception)
• A brief run-sheet or cue sheet so my planner and DJ stay in sync with you
• A short rehearsal or tech check on-site before guests arrive

Experience doing stand-up, radio, wedding MC work, or similar crowd-engagement gigs will be a huge plus—please share clips or recordings if you have them.
