Event Planner for Dog-friendly Gatherings

Toronto Dog Moms is a vibrant community of pet parents who love to explore, connect, and celebrate life with their dogs. From pop-ups, markets and experiences, we create memorable events that highlight local businesses and dog-friendly experiences across the GTA.
Opportunity
We’re looking to hire a freelance or contract-based event planner to support our upcoming event lineup. This role is ideal for an organized, creative, and dog-loving individual with experience in small- to mid-size event planning and community engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead and support the planning of special events (approximately 2–3 key events).
Source venues, vendors, and supplies while keeping our dog-friendly mission in mind.
Manage timelines, budgets, and logistics.
Oversee setup and breakdown on event days.
Coordinate with the TDM team to align promotions and social media content.
Communicate with partners, sponsors, and vendors in a professional and prompt manner.
Ensure a smooth, fun, and safe experience for all attendees and their dogs.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience planning events (pop-ups, markets, or community-based gatherings ideal)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Self-starter comfortable working independently
Available for occasional weekday and weekend commitments in Toronto/GTA
Passion for animals and an understanding of the pet parent community is a plus
Contract Details
Contract position: starting ASAP
Rate: $26/hour
