Seafood Expo Boston Assistant
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Job Description
We are an international seafood trading company sourcing Loligo squid (calamari) and pollock (Alaska pollock / Russian pollock) products.
We will not attend Seafood Expo North America in Boston in person, and are looking for a reliable on-site assistant to attend the expo on our behalf and collect direct business contacts (especially WhatsApp or direct phone numbers) from targeted exhibitors.
This role is not sales-oriented.
The focus is contact collection, basic product confirmation, and documentation.

Expo Dates: March 16–18, 2025
Work Dates (On-site)
Primary: March 16–17, 2025 (Sunday–Monday)
Alternative: March 17–18, 2025 (Monday–Tuesday)
Duration: 1–2 full days, 6–8 hours per day
(Candidate availability for either option is acceptable.)
Key Responsibilities
Visit a pre-selected list of seafood exhibitor booths
Collect:
Business cards
WhatsApp numbers / direct phone numbers
Sales contact names & titles
Ask simple confirmation questions:
Do you supply Loligo squid (calamari)?
Product form: whole round / tubes / rings
Do you supply pollock?
Product form: fillet / blocks / surimi / other
Origin (US / Russia / others)
Size range / specifications / MOQ (if available)
Take photos:
Booth
Business cards
Product displays (if permitted)
Organize all collected information into a simple Excel or Google Sheet

Requirements
Must be physically able to attend the expo in Boston on the dates listed above
Comfortable communicating in English in a business environment
Experience with:
Trade shows, B2B sourcing, or market research (preferred)
Seafood industry knowledge is a strong plus
Able to proactively ask for WhatsApp or direct contact details
Payment
Hourly contract via Upwork
Estimated workload: 6–8 hours per day
Budget range: USD $25-35/hour, depending on experience
