I’m hosting a casual family gathering for about twenty guests on Saturday, May 23 2026, and I’d like an extra pair of hands so I can actually enjoy the afternoon with everyone. Your shift would run from roughly 12 p.m. (1 p.m. at the latest) until 4 – 5 p.m., depending on how quickly we wrap up.
Here’s what I’ll count on you for throughout the event:
• Set up the indoor buffet and drink stations as the catering trays arrive.
• Keep platters, coolers, and dispensers topped up so guests never face an empty dish or glass.
• Discreetly patrol for used plates, cups, and napkins, handle trash runs, and swap liners before bins overflow.
• Load the dishwasher as items come back, hand-wash anything delicate, and keep counters clear.
• Once guests head out, finish the kitchen reset—wipe surfaces, store leftovers, and leave the sink and dishwasher ready for their final cycle.
My son will be running the grill outside, so no cooking is required; this is all about smooth service and a tidy close-down. If you’re friendly, organized, and comfortable navigating a home kitchen, I’d love your help.
