Freelance Event Technician / Event Assistant – Premium Dining Experience (London)
We're looking for an experienced freelance event technician/event assistant to help transform an existing kitchen showroom into an intimate Michelin-level dining experience.
The space will be completely reimagined using temporary paper walls, bespoke lighting, stretch fabric, linen, trestle tables and carefully curated styling to create a premium, immersive environment.
Responsibilities
Date: 7th September
Fee: Fixed
Location: Marylebone
Crew: 2
Assist with the full installation and dressing of the event space.
Build and install temporary paper walls and decorative elements.
Set up trestle tables, linen, furniture and table layouts.
Move and position showroom furniture safely.
Install and replace stretch fabric and other scenic elements.
Programme and adjust lighting, including uplighters, LED fixtures and table lighting.
Cable management and ensuring a clean, professional finish.
Support with final styling and last-minute adjustments before guest arrival.
Assist with derig following the event (if required).
Ideal Experience
Previous experience in live events, luxury hospitality or experiential production.
Confident working with lighting systems and basic lighting programming.
Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail.
Comfortable lifting and moving furniture.
Able to work efficiently within tight installation schedules.
Calm under pressure and proactive in solving problems.
