Commission-Based Event Managers
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m expanding an international events startup across Mauritius, Réunion, the Seychelles and neighbouring Indian Ocean islands, and I need freelance event managers who thrive on commission-only rewards. Your main mission is to source and nurture relationships with local hosts and vendors, then run each event from concept to wrap-up while giving guests something they’ll never forget.
You’ll be working on:
• Corporate events
• Weddings
• Festivals
Because vendor coordination is at the heart of this role, I expect you to already have (or be ready to build) a strong supplier network—venues, caterers, décor, entertainment, logistics, you name it. You’ll negotiate rates, secure contracts, oversee timelines, and make sure every stakeholder delivers exactly what was promised.
Success here is measured by the number and quality of events closed and the vendors used to execute; the more people book the vendors you brought to the platform, the more you earn. All payouts are commission-based and uncapped, so your income grows in direct proportion to your results.
If the idea of shaping a new player in the events scene excites you, tell me about a standout event you managed recently and how you leveraged local vendors to pull it off. Let’s redefine what island events can be.
