About the Role
We are developing a large-scale automated product ingestion pipeline involving images, barcodes, taxonomy validation, enrichment, and OneDrive integrations.
We are looking for a Python Automation Engineer to build, maintain, and optimise internal tools and scripts.
This is a core engineering role working closely with the Senior Architect and Scraping Analyst.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain data ingestion scripts (CSV/XLSX ingestion, workflows, enrichment)
Implement barcode validation and image matching modules
Integrate with OneDrive/SharePoint APIs (Microsoft Graph)
Automate folder scanning, file cleanup, and structured exports
Optimise and refactor pipeline components for speed and stability
Ensure data schema consistency across all modules
Create reusable utilities and helper libraries
Troubleshoot pipeline failures and ensure quality outputs
Work with the Senior Architect on module design decisions
Required Skills
Strong Python (OOP, modular coding, pandas, file processing)
Experience building ETL/automation scripts
Familiarity with cloud storage APIs (Google Drive, OneDrive, S3, etc.)
Good debugging and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working on large datasets and messy real-world data
Able to document code and follow strict specifications
Nice to Have
Experience with Excel automation (openpyxl)
Understanding of product catalogs or retail data
Basic knowledge of AI/ML enrichment flows
