Ethereum Chess Smart-Contract Build
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I’m building an online chess platform and now want every match handled fully on-chain. My biggest gap is the blockchain layer, so I need a Web3 engineer who can own the Ethereum smart-contract work and then weave it seamlessly into the interface I already have.
The heart of the job is to design, code, test, and deploy Solidity contracts that store game state, enforce valid moves, and settle results. Once those contracts are live on a public testnet, I’ll rely on you to expose them through ethers.js (or a comparable library) and connect the calls to my React front end. Clean UI/UX still matters to me, so any tweaks that keep the board responsive on desktop and mobile are welcome.
Deliverables
• Production-ready Solidity contracts deployed to an Ethereum testnet
• Unit tests and basic security considerations in place
• Front-end hooks (ethers.js / web3.js) that let players create, join, and complete games without glitches
• Light UI polish where contract interaction touches the chessboard or game lobby
If you have shipped blockchain games before—or anything that mixes real-time logic with on-chain state—please send links or GitHub examples along with a brief timeline for getting a playable testnet version online. Let’s get this chessboard running on Ethereum.
