Skid Manufacturing Mechanical Estimator Needed

Freelance Mechanical Estimator – Skid Manufacturing
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in process skid/package skid manufacturing to support our estimating and proposal activities.

Responsibilities
Review RFQs, technical specifications, P&IDs, GA drawings, and customer requirements.
Prepare accurate cost estimates for skid-mounted systems, including:
Structural steel
Piping and fittings
Valves and instruments
Pressure vessels and tanks
Pumps and other mechanical equipment
Fabrication, machining, assembly, painting, and testing
Prepare material take-offs (MTO/BOM).
Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations.
Estimate labor hours, fabrication costs, and project schedules.
Support commercial proposals and provide cost optimization recommendations.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven experience in mechanical estimation for skid manufacturing, modular process packages, or industrial fabrication.
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding, piping, and structural steel.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and estimation software/tools.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
