Textual Analysis Essay

In this essay, you should examine how the author you have chosen makes his/her arguments. You should explain clearly and in-depth the author’s main themes/arguments. You will need also to demonstrate how the writer develops his/her argument by citing specific passages from the text that relate back to the main themes/arguments. Remember that it is OK to use SHORT quotations, but that you should try to paraphrase when citing specific passages, which you also must document.
In Discussion Board FOUR, you have already found quotes in both readings and have already explained and paraphrased them. You should consider using some of the work you have already completed to help you write your First Draft (you already have a headstart!).
**Your thesis statement should contain a claim about the thesis of the essay you are analyzing.
Make sure that you document your sources using MLA style. Remember to Double-Space whether you post as an attachment or whether you just post.
These are the texts that you are analyzing from our textbook. You only have to choose one essay to reference in your essay. You can use both essays if you want.
