Explain your initial thoughts and concerns evidenced in the case study and discuss any concerns relating to risk. (approx. words to use 250)
Discuss how you will approach and conduct your initial assessment. Please use examples from the case study and other sources as appropriate. You should discuss how you will make the initial contact, who will be present, assessment and communication skills. (approx. words to use 750)
Identify and apply National and International legislation, policy or guidance relevant to both the assessment and the case study (approx. words to use 1000)
Explain how legislation could influence your practise when working with Mr.A.
Consider voluntary & statutory processes, procedure and legal requirement to assess people with a visual impairment and/or deafblind
Discuss and consider equality, human rights, capacity, health and social care/safeguarding legislation that relates to Mr.A’s situation.
Discuss any issues of stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination that relate to Mr.A in the case study. Highlight how discrimination forms and how this relates to anti discriminatory practise. Use appropriate legislation, policy and/or guidance to underpin and evidence your discussion. (approx. words to use 1000)
The appendix – please insert a table that identifies the services that you suggest should be provided for Mr.A and why. This can include the rehabilitation services that you will deliver and the referrals to other professionals and organisations. (the appendix is not counted in the word count)
