We are migrating a large-scale, production-grade ERP system from Odoo 14 Community Edition to Odoo 18 Community Edition. This includes over 25 custom modules, complex business logic, third-party REST API integrations, advanced dashboards, and QWeb-based reports.
The system is used across multiple business units (HR, Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Inventory), and every module must be ported without functional loss or UI degradation.

### Strict Conditions (Non-Negotiable)
* Only **independent freelancers** are allowed.
No companies, agencies, outsourcing firms, or coordinators.
* Minimum **6–8 years of total experience in Odoo**, including:
* 2–3 years in Odoo 14 (Community Edition)
* 2+ years in Odoo 18 (Community Edition)
* Must commit **at least 6 hours per day** during the project duration
* Must be able to **share previous codebase or working samples** from real Odoo 14 to 18 migration projects for technical evaluation

### Primary Responsibilities
#### Codebase Migration
* Rewrite Python model logic using updated Odoo 18 APIs and decorators
* Replace deprecated syntax and patterns (e.g., `api.one`) with current best practices
* Refactor custom widgets and QWeb templates to ensure compatibility with OWL and QWeb 2.0
* Modernize JavaScript and XML structures in line with version 18 changes
#### Data and Metadata Migration
* Plan and execute robust ETL strategies across interlinked, large datasets
* Clean and restructure orphaned or deprecated fields and models
* Ensure accurate and secure multi-company, multi-user data migration
#### Business Logic and Security
* Rebuild and optimize `ir.rule` and group-based access controls
* Align legacy business restrictions with the Odoo 18 architecture
* Reconstruct approval flows, validations, and business rules across all modules
#### Testing and Quality Assurance
* Write automated and manual test cases to verify migration integrity
* Identify and resolve module-level and data-level issues across versions
* Tune performance bottlenecks in views, reports, cron jobs, and API endpoints

### Required Skills and Tools
* Deep understanding of Odoo internals including ORM, views, controllers, wizards, and access rights
* Strong PostgreSQL and Odoo ORM skills for data migration and manipulation
* Proficiency in Git, Odoo.sh, and multi-environment deployment practices
* Advanced debugging skills: context tracking, API tracing, log review, and performance profiling
* Comfort working with frontend components: XML, JS, QWeb, OWL
