# Job Description: Senior ERP Functional Consultant (Machinery, Dry Cleaning & Universal SaaS Architecture)

**Position Type:** Consulting / Advisory (Short-Term / Hourly)
**Experience Required:** Strictly 15+ Years in ERP Implementation & Business Process Mapping

## Executive Summary

We are engineering **Bomax**, a revolutionary, multi-tenant Base SaaS ERP designed to handle intense data volumes with "Tally-like" ultra-high speeds. Our development team is ready to build, but before a single line of code is written, we need a veteran **ERP Functional Consultant & Subject Matter Expert** to validate and design our business logic, database structure, and operational workflows.

This is **not** a coding role. We need an architect who has spent over 15 years implementing heavy-duty ERPs (like SAP, MS Dynamics, or Odoo). You will map out the exact standard industry practices and database relationships we need to build a single core engine that simultaneously powers the **Heavy Machinery** industry and the **Dry Cleaning/Laundry** industry.

## The Core Architectural Challenges

### 1. The Multi-Tier SaaS Architecture

Our system must seamlessly scale through four distinct business operational models using the exact same underlying codebase. You will validate the tenant data routing for:

* **Single User / Single Store:** A standalone owner-operator.
* **Multi-User / Single Location:** Role-based access (cashiers, managers, technicians) operating within one facility.
* **Multi-Branch / Corporate:** Centralized inventory and consolidated financial reporting across multiple locations owned by the same entity.
* **Franchise Model:** Strict data isolation between independent franchise owners, while allowing the Super Admin/OEM to push global settings, track royalties, and manage centralized supply chains.

### 2. The "Universal" Production Module

We are building a single, highly decoupled production engine that must work across distinct industries.

* **The Logic:** The underlying code for the production pipeline must be identical. Only the "Department Names" or "Processing Stages" will change dynamically based on the industry setup.
* **Your Task:** Design a universal Work-in-Progress (WIP) tracking and stage-routing architecture flexible enough to handle the complex Bill of Materials (BOM) assembly of an industrial machine, *and* the fast-paced washing/pressing stages of a centralized dry-cleaning plant using the exact same database tables.

### 3. The Machinery, Spares & Field Service Flow

You will map the exact operational workflows for the heavy equipment lifecycle, including:

* **Import & Distribution:** Multi-Currency ledgers and automated Landed Cost calculations (freight, customs, duties) for imported machinery.
* **Visual Cataloging & Cross-Referencing:** Structuring parent-child database relationships linking a specific machine model to hundreds of compatible spare parts via Serial Numbers and Manufacturer Part Numbers (MPN).
* **Field Service & Warranties:** The operational flow for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), tracking warranties by serial number, and dispatching engineers who consume spare parts from van inventory.

### 4. The Dry Cleaning & Laundry Flow

You will map the high-volume retail and operational logic for the garment care industry:

* **High-Speed POS & Ticketing:** Workflows for rapid garment intake, condition/defect logging, and barcode/QR tag generation.
* **Store-to-Plant Logistics:** The routing logic for multi-branch storefronts sending garments to a central factory for processing, and tracking their return delivery.

## Candidate Requirements

* **15+ Years Minimum Experience:** You must have extensive, hands-on experience designing and implementing complex ERP solutions.
* **Cross-Industry Versatility:** You must deeply understand both heavy manufacturing/distribution and high-speed retail/service operations.
* **System Agnostic Insight:** We are building our own system from scratch. You must be able to explain *how* top-tier ERPs solve these problems so we can replicate the logic in our own high-speed architecture.

## How to Apply: Tell Us What We Need

Do not just send a generic resume. To be considered for this consultation, please reply with a brief assessment of our blueprint:

1. **The Multi-Tier Challenge:** How do you structure the database to allow a central Super Admin to view consolidated analytics across a Franchise network, while ensuring individual Franchise owners absolutely cannot see each other's customer data or spare parts inventory?
2. **The Universal Production Challenge:** Based on your experience, what is the biggest database challenge in building a single production module that serves the assembly of a heavy machine and the dry cleaning of a suit just by changing department names?
3. **The Machinery Challenge:** Walk us through the standard ERP workaround for accurately tracking the landed cost of an imported machine when the customs and freight invoices arrive 30 days *after* the machine is already sold.
4. **Your Background:** Briefly list the relevant ERP implementations you have led in the last 15 years.
